@ discriminating against ugliness. There was a NBC program on that many years ago. They got an under qualified good looking white guy, a well-qualified so-so looking balding black guy and (I think) a fat woman to go apply for the same jobs.

While it was not scientific by any means, the good looking white guy got all the jobs and for a large percentage of them, no one even looked at his qualifications. And this was a job which required technical qualifications.

I think discriminating against ugly happens a lot more than people would like to admit.

Another story: when I was an employee, there was a highly-paid consultant coming in to do some work. His first comment to me, I kid you not: Damn, you got some ugly people working here.

Some people never grow up… I quit full-time employment because I was tired of dealing with small-minded people like this and that is exactly who discriminates based on some physical characteristic.

Great interview! Can’t wait to share this with entrepreneurial friends!

  3. Jason says:

@Neville Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. 😉

It’s funny, but half-way through the interview I was starting to run out of questions and began worrying that we were going to hit some dead air, but for some reason it loosened up and became more fun. Phew! 😉

    Great show! Thanks

Just a general comment regarding marketing Techzing, it occurred to me today that I find a lot of new shows from those I already listen to e.g. hosts just mention another show that they enjoy. It might already have been suggested to you for promoting Techzing but thought I’d share with you anyway,

  5. Jason says:

@James Thanks for the suggestion. Justin has actually brought up this idea several times already, so maybe it’s something we should consider.

  6. The show had a nice and fresh tone with a lot of energy and passion. The stats on population reach of 10 million was quite amazing.
The point on the “email revolution” was pretty interesting too.
