Justin and Jason talk about their return after a 9-month hiatus, getting vaccinated and getting back into shape, Chris Schwarz’s novelย The Cacheย and the character inspired by Jason’s son Colby, the origin and surprising spread of the luck surface area, why Justin has stopped working on TaskFlow, is saying goodbye to Nugget and his new foray into developing Roblox Games, how Jason’s daughter is growing a following for her animated stories and fiction writing, the monster project that is Math Academy, and Justin’s new project with Joe Stech called Morning Brief.
Back From the Dead is very appropriate around Easter! Anyway, glad to hear you’re still alive. I’ve saved the second half of the podcast for later, in case it takes 9 months again for the next episode ๐
A nice surprise to find a new show published. Thanks for all the updates, Justin gave a nice summary of his changing path of The Madness.
I was super excited to see this episode popup in my podcast app. Really enjoyed hearing what you’ve both been up to. Looking forward to the next show, however long we need to wait for it ๐
I’m also extremely keen for the Math academy software. Do you have a beta/launch list we can sign up for?
It’s so great to hear Jason on the show again! It’s also good to hear that Math Academy (online) is still a going concern. I was a bit worried that once Colby didn’t need it, it would be the end.
This seems to be a pattern of never taking a lean startup approach but at least it’s not a fat startup. Math Academy is a burly startup.
I hope the price isn’t too crazy. I don’t think Justin’s comment about it being able to impact the global GDP is too far off. If you can reach the next hundred Ramanujans who didn’t meet their Hardys, the impact will be immense!
The YouTube animation channel story is wild. I can only imagine what it must have been like to discover so much art had been created in your house without you having any idea!
Yeeeeeeeahhh! They’re alive ๐
Haven’t even listened the newest episode, but I know it’s awesome !
Keep kicking guys!
Thanks guys, for the warm welcome back!
I’m really looking forward to getting into a groove with the show again. I feel like I have a lot to talk about and it’s almost impossible to get into any depth when we record so infrequently. Hopefully, we’ll be able to stick to a bi-weekly schedule.
And Math Academy is definitely still a thing! ๐
Thanks for such a great catch-up show guys! Been listening since episode 6 (first one published?) and has it been a journey or what!?
My 5yo has something of the madness for maths and I can’t wait to see how he can tackle Math Academy in the coming years.
Don’t worry about length of any episode, just enjoy it whether it’s 10 mins or 10hours.
Cheers
Scott
Nice catch-up episode
Amazing to hear how Math Academy is going. Happy to hear how committed you are to the project Jason. Glad to hear that you’re not just throwing in gamification, but putting much thought into doing for the right reason to help the learners.
Thanks for relaying the road you’re taken Justin. I’ve watched most of your Reactor podcast with Mark, but the last episode was recorded back in November, so good to get up an update on the Roblox game. Sign me up for the Morning Brief when it’s available.
That’s all on me on the slow output of Reactor podcasts, Danilio. I’ve had crazy pressures around banking, immigration, and some family issues and fell behind on video editing.
I’m gonna try to make serious progress on getting caught up on publication later this month! There were some pretty big updates in there.
Yes! I’ve just done my periodic check to see if a new Techzing is out, and there’s not one but TWO new episodes! You’ve made my day guys : )
