  1. Jason: the tech that Balsamic Mockups was built in was called Adobe AIR.

  2. William Ratcliff says:

Jason, have you considered applying for a grant from the NSF?

  3. Jason says:

@Doug Martin – Right! That’s what I was thinking of. Thanks for reminding me.

  4. Jason says:

@William Ratcliff – Yeha, I’ve considered applying for education grants, but they’re just so damn time consuming, the probabillity of landing one always seems so low,I have no experience with them. and I absolutely HATE doing that sort of thing. Every time I have to fill out even the simplest paperwork, it ends up sitting on my desk for like 2 months, so a grant application would probably take me 2 years! 😉

Very interested to hear what this secret project is 🙂 don’t suddenly stop podcasting for a few months!

  6. bob says:

    great show guys.

@justin, can’t wait to hear more about the secret project, sounds exciting.

@jason, congrats on another year of SOLVE. my wife loves hearing updates on math academy. she was an actuary and studied a lot of math in college.

@Jason congratulations on a successful Solve 2019 event. I’m sure next near will be even better. Great news on Mill Valley expansions, sounds like y’all are being very smart about it too.

@justin as Jason has complimented you on it, I’m looking forward to seeing the application design. Let me know if you need someone to look things over when you’re closer to launch, I’d be happy to contribute.

  8. Great episode guys !

Hey, Justin. I really hope this one goes well. I can’t believe risking giving up all things entrepreneurial for good!

Also, I hope Nugget has some legs! I still like the idea you spoke of a while back on your podcast about it becoming a bottom-up feeder for Tiny Seed, Indie VC, etc. It takes more time to iterate and see results from a remote side-project kind of thing than something intense and in person like YC, but you might find the network effects impressive over time.
