@David – If my grilling of Justin is coming across as anything more than friendly banter or me just being skeptical of his occasional new-age health claim, it’s only because I’m trying to hold him accountable to his stated diet and exercise goals. And the reason that’s important is that he’s suffering from a number of chronic and quite serious health issues (diabetes, fatty liver, Celiac disease and obesity) that all represent a threat to his life. Justin is my friend and “real” friends tell you the truth even when you don’t want to hear it. Due to the fact that he seems unable to give up drinking alcohol, engage in any kind exercise, or lose the weight he needs to lose, I’m afraid not enough people close to him are staying on him about it. But maybe it’s just a bit too heavy of a topic to talk about on the show and is something we should discuss in private, especially if it’s making him or our listeners uncomfortable.

But outside of that I think it may just be that we don’t always agree on things.

Thanks for another interesting show both. I’m really sorry to hear about Jason’s mum – it’s a massive thing in a man’s life. You’re lucky to have family to pull you through it.
That said, I agree with some other comments about grilling Justin. At the risk of being an embarrassing #ssh#le who’s misunderstood harmless banter between friends, why all the nasty remarks these days? Does he owe you money? Is it an America/England thing??
Save the venom for all the bad guys out there, not a decent guy like Justin!

Regarding the Launch conference as a way to set the AnyFu launch deadline: You may end up not seeing your own moment in the sun because the other companies showing off at Launch will be getting theirs.

An unsolicited suggestion regarding marketing AnyFu: I assume you’re going to display an experts profile page. It might be good to add a button(s) that the expert sees in their admin page to be able to post to Facebook, Twitter, etc directly from your site. This way they assist with your marketing by marketing themselves. Perhaps with discount codes as part of the launch and other promotions you may run.

Anyway, keep it going guys, I pull the podcast the moment I see that there’s a new one.

Just got around to listening to this. Many condolences Jason to yourself and your family. The fact you found solace through your children really speaks highly of how important it is to enjoy the moments you do have and not get caught up in the small things.

Now about the show. Actually I am with Justin. I am getting a “little” bit tired of the Justin grilling. Was interesting to hear about the internals of Uber. On that mentioned the dispatch server was getting hammered during the peak periods, do you have a plan for how to deal with it should it become overloaded? Im not familiar with node.js but my guess would be sticky session’s and a load balancer?

Anyways Merry Christmas to both of you (and all the happy listeners out there). Stay safe and we should hear from you in 2012.
