S K Murphy’s short chalk-talk video was quite interesting!
]]>I definitely wished I had learned about this topic earlier. What’s interesting is when you build things incrementally as a developer you’re not always ready to do a full interaction design upfront. But then you have to be ready to do the analysis at some later time. It’s amazing how we also get “conditioned” by what we’re used to seeing on the web until someone like Luke unplugs a part of us from the accepted UX Matrix!:-)
So again maybe the thing to consider as a must is to start building A/B testing from the get-go. Patrick McKenzie made that clear but listening to this podcast seems to reinforce the idea of continuous interaction simplification and measurement cycle.
Now I want to go back and re-read parts of Designing Web Interfaces by Bill Scott (from Netflix) and Theresa Neil ! Maybe you could invite them at some point.
Thanks again for bringing Luke on the show.
]]>You guys should interview S K Murphy.

I thought it was pretty insightful.

This interview show was great (as many others)! Very interesting information for a softdev/non-designer. Thanks Luke. And thanks Jason & Justin for an excellent show. Keep rocking!
]]>Luke has given me a LOT of food for thought…perfect timing too as I was in the office today to contemplate how I was going to totally re-organize my online presence.
Time to roll up my sleeves and dig into Luke’s site.
