I hope you guys do start making podcasts more frequently. Back in 2011 I was working an awful webdev job for minimum wage and one of the highlights of my week would be to listen to the show.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say Techzing has been a huge influence on my life. Listening to you guys at the start of my career really helped me grow as both a dev and an entrepreneur. Today luck surface area is one of my guiding principles in life and I make a good amount of my income from the stock market which I got into after listening to Jason talk about investing in TSLA.

I just wanted you guys to know you’re doing good stuff with the podcast. Even if it’s not provided much of a return in your own lives, I know it’s been a great resource to others like myself.

When you talked about Pixar, I think what you might have been recalling was their (in particular Bruce Peren’s) huge influence on early Linux and the whole Open Source movement…

From memory, Bruce while working at Pixar needed a huge cluster of machines in order to render the first Toy Story. So he joined, and then became project lead, of a tiny little project called Debian!

Guys, I think this is the best episode in recent history 🙂
Listened only half of it so far, but am so eager to listen it all and then once more to catch all the references.
Two wolves in the house (one wolf in a house is a good decision in like 5% of cases, two is just uffffff 🙂 ), Mountain man, Cybertruck, new math academy video/lecture idea and finally idea for show with retrospection on past episodes… It will be awesome !

Justin, wish your family good luck in the new home and looking forward to you buying your cyber Tesla. Moment you buy that and get into it please, please, please drive it to Jason’s place and make a video Techzing episode of you parking that spaceship in front of his house and showing all the gadgets 🙂

I love you guy’s discussions and what Jason said early this episode was spot on. Part of why I’ve enjoyed TZ so much was hearing your first takes on Tesla, Uber, Soylent, BTC (and OMG!) from the future. The old, old interviews with Amy Hoy are why I did 30×500, which was a huge win.

The HN thread about Double Dollar and the Allman-style code formatting was similarly epic.

Re: Math academy, where is the online material? I’ve been super curious about in and was looking to see if any courses or memberships were available and couldn’t see anything anywhere. AFAICT, the only rigorous resource available online is still OCW…
