Although I kind of fallen off the release schedule, listening to this episode w/ Rob hosting feels like I’m back home again enjoying all the great moments and conversations.

Also, I’m glad you feel the show hasn’t become repetitive or dull over the years. After all, the only sin in entertainment is to be boring. 😉

I followed Jason’s advice on documenting self-learning on a blog a few years ago. I was writing about Node, MongoDB and Mongoose. From that my first book “Mongoose for Application Development” was commissioned, and my second book “Getting MEAN” also happened because of the blog.

Through “Getting MEAN” I met my business partner and we’ve set up Full Stack Training. Good times.

Thanks Jason & Justin, keep it up. The topics have changed over the years as your interests change and endeavours take you in different directions. I love the current level of enthusiasm you guys both have about your projects. It’s very infectious, and with Math Academy being essentially non-tech, it’s a great reminder to keep your options and mind open.

The thing which I always remember from the early days was the daily episodes experiment. That nearly finished me off. I’ll take fortnightly 2 hour episodes over that any day thanks!

One thing which I think stands out from all those episodes over the years is that is has never got dull. I originally got into the podast because of the bootstrapping thread which was running through episodes for a long time. As that has changed it has always remained enlightening, entertaining, and perhaps got even better. I think beause of that it is one of the few podcasts I listen to where I can discuss some of it with my wife (although I don’t she’d be any more receptive than either of yours to a full episodes worth of discussion 🙂 )

@Jason I had a similar issue to you with the Algorithmic Trading article. If you search for “decoding captcahas” in any search engine an article I wrote years ago is the number one result. I used to get an email a day asking for more details and questions about it. After about 2 years of this I collected all my responses, a small amount of additional content and packaged it up as a book. I have no received an email since (which was the goal), but I also make $39 every month in passive income or so from those buying it.

Depends on how much effort it is and what sort of traffic you get but I would suggest just making a small info package with whatever you have responded and put a small price on it. It worked for me.

We really appreciate you sticking with us all for all of these years. It has been quite a ride!

The coverage of all of the various projects and concepts and memes I’ve listened to over the years has been quite the walk down memory lane. Thanks for much for your time Jason and Justin that you’ve put into making the podcast, and thanks to Rob for joining in as the interviewer and sharing your thoughts.

May the next 300 be as funny and interesting as the first ones. Maybe in the future you could interview some of the people that are building apps based on the Justin’s nuggets it could help more people hear about the service from a user perspective.
