That’s really frustrating. While I’ve found the HN moderation to be pretty good generally, I’ve also seen a number of cases where it’s been just plain ridiculous and unfair. But I guess you could probably say that about even the best systems where humans are involved in making judgement calls.

You are very right about all the FUD re the Twitter API. We hopefully have answered that in the pitch by explaining how we are will continue to expand our features for multiple social networks (not just Twitter) so that we evolve into a truly universal social media dashboard.

@Spark N Launch – Thanks for the very kind words 🙂

No, I don’t think I like “loose screws” as a way to describe my category of interviews! 😉 I’ll just go with something like “the lab” or “fringe division”. 😉

You’re right, we need to start thinking about our 200th episode. We really haven’t talked about it, but we’ll definitely come up with something. 😉

Although saltwater pools are not free of chlorination, in the context of frequent, long swim workouts, the saltwater variety is more healthful, more buoyant, and more closely simulates open water (ocean) race conditions. If your buddy moves into a condo that includes access to a saltwater pool, go for a dip!

Justin….oh man, if I’d just known a few days earlier that you were moving your belongings back to California this week. My cousin’s uncle’s brother’s fiancé’s business partner’s moving company had a truck going from Savannah to Los Angeles and he was so desperate for more things to put on the truck in order to balance the load, that he actually *paid* someone just to let him move their stuff. (I’m totally kidding, Justin….but ain’t that exactly the kind of crap you always hear juuuuuust after you pay for a move?) 🙂

OK…..on a more serious note, Justin…..you might consider and or address in your pitch to investors that while many on @AngelList are VERY sophisticated, experienced, value enhancing investors….there are likely to be a few who aren’t experts in your particular niche (a productivity app built in large part by leveraging another company’s API) and whose first reaction to seeing @Pluggio might include heightened reluctance due to a misperception that @Twitter’s impending “tightening of 3rd party app rules” would adversely impact your company. I wish you the best, and while you sure don’t need my uninformed, unsolicited advice…..I only mean to offer it respectfully.

Jason….picking up on your metaphor for how your and Justin’s interviews cover different ground…..and if I momentarily take the perspective of a science hater (which ain’t me!) perhaps Justin’s episodes are the “nuts and bolts”…..and your more esoteric variety are the “loose screws”. 🙂

Thank you both for episodes like this one where you offer a level of insight and project transparency that is rare among startup podcasts, and puts Techzing in good company with @leolaporte’s periodic “ThisWeekInTWiT” show (Saturdays after The Weekly Daily Giz Wiz podcast), where he and TWiT’s CEO give astonishingly detailed business updates and field live questions from the chat realm.

CHEERS!

David

@justin

Good luck with the move. Hopefully the removal company does a better job than the previous one.

Pluggio is looking great! It has rekindled my interest in the app. I don’t see any problem with you seeking funding. Especially now you have seen the benefit of having a team around you.

@both

On the Hacker News slap. Currently writing up a story on this. We managed to have four submissions in the top four… until HN moderation came in and spoiled the party.

And your 200th episode is approaching. What is planned? Panel show, videocast, different location, big guests, past guests, fireworks?
