Justin and Jason, along with guest co-host Phil Aman, turned what was intended to be a normal discussion show into a full-length story telling of Jason and Phil’s first startup – Renaissance Research Group, LLC.
Just a quick not to say that since this turned into an Interview show we didn’t do the thanks or executive producers. We will be doing these in the next discussion show!
Not quite what I expected going into the podcast (was looking forward to a rambling discussion) but still interesting! Fills in all the gaps regarding your previous experiences which you discussed previously Jason.
Have you got any screenshots of the application in question? I wouldn’t mind having a quick look at what you guys came up with.
Interesting show, It’s good to hear some of Jason’s stories put in to a timeline and context. Phil sounds like a very bright guy.
To bring it down to the lowest level, Phil’s full name would be perfect for a gay porn star.
True, and not pursuing gay porn is one of my biggest regrets. I guess you could say, “I blew it”.

The idea of creating simulation games for business purposes has always intrigued me too. Jason, back in 88 I was working on a Smalltalk-based risk simulation tool for financial portfolios so I was quite taken by your story. The tool was created for a French bank. But I suspect it would have been even more powerful with a game angle. The topic of business simulation could be a good podcast topic candidate.
PS-Like William I loved the outtakes – could not stop laughing for a while after that!
