I found the whole story of how Ivan evolved notes for himself into full-blown chapters and eventually a book integrating the math and mechanics quite interesting.
The discussion about the “emotional readiness” to learn what is perceived as a complex topic was also note-worthy. That made me think of “Jedi mind tricks” but applied by a teacher on and his/her student to hide the complexity and let the learning go on smoothly! 🙂
I enjoyed the show enough to buy the book based solely off the interview. I really liked his approach of focusing on the book as the product and treating extra value-added content as advertising for the main product.
