Justin and Jason speak with Eric Woodward about his URL shortening service, tr.im, and why he chose to close and then reopen it.
I really do understand the use of tr.im, bit.ly. But to my knowledge squatters, spammers & scammers are getting a good chance because the shortened URL can be easily camouflauged. What are your thoughts on that?

Also interesting is the discussion of architecting the system- amazing that you can get the performance even while doing an insert for every hit.
